Join us at the University of Minnesota Job and Internship Fair, attended by more than 2,500 qualified candidates from the University of Minnesota Crookston, Duluth, Morris, Rochester, and Twin Cities campuses.
Our candidates represent a wide variety of academic majors, degree levels and experiences, and are looking for full-time employment, internships, and general career information and networking.
Schedule: Friday, February 28, 2020
- 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. - Employer set up
- 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. - Exhibit booths open
- 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Interviews conducted in interview room
- 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. - Lunch
- 4:00 p.m. - Exhibit booths close *Recruiters are highly encouraged to stay available until 4 p.m. to meet all eligible candidates.
Booth Layout and Assignments

Additional Booth Features
Interview booth: Separate curtained interview booths may be reserved for $25 each. The interview area is adjacent to the Exhibit Hall. The interview area is a 6’x6’ curtained area with a small table and two chairs.
Electricity: If you would like electricity in your booth the cost is $120. Bring your own extension cord.
Please note: To check if you ordered electricity, carpet, interview booths, as well as to see how many reps/lunch tickets are currently on your registration, log into your GoldPASS account. Click the "Fairs" link on the left sidebar menu and search for the 'University of Minnesota Job and Internship Fair' or by the date of the event. Click on the event then click on the green "Registered" button the top right of your screen and select "View Registration". Carpeting: The exhibit booths are not carpeted. You may rent carpeting for your exhibit booth (10’x10’) for $132.
The registration fee includes two lunch/refreshment tickets. Additional lunch/refreshment tickets may be ordered for $25 each if you are sending more than two reps. Please email email@example.com to request more lunch tickets be added to your registration.

Registering for the Fair
- You will need to create an account in GoldPASS if you do not already have one. Creating an account and registering for the Fair in GoldPASS must be completed FIRST, prior to submitting payment for the Fair.
- After creating an account, click on the "Fairs" link and search for the fair by name: University of Minnesota Job and Internship Fair, or by the event date: February 28, 2020. Click on the event and then click the blue "Register" button on the top right of the page.
- You will receive a registration confirmation email once your registration has been submitted.
The registration fee includes a 10’ x 10’ exhibit booth, a 6’ draped table, two chairs, signage, and two lunch/refreshment tickets, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks. You may purchase additional lunch tickets when you register online at the cost of $25 each. We allow up to 5 reps per 10’ X 10’ exhibit booth. If you are bringing more than 5 reps, you will need to purchase a second exhibit booth.
For profit organization fees:
- By January 15: $625
- After January 15: $750
Nonprofit, government, social services, or educational organization fees:
- By January 15: $200
- After January 15: $325
*A second exhibit booth may be purchased for an additional $225 (applies to both for-profit and non-profit organizations)

Attention: Graduate School Programs
Thank you for your interest in the University of Minnesota Job and Internship Fair. In the past, we have had a mix of organizations promoting jobs, internships, and graduate and professional school opportunities at our fair. In an effort to serve all of our constituencies more efficiently we will no longer offer booth spaces to graduate and professional programs. Please contact the University of Minnesota career services offices directly about recruiting candidates for your programs. Thank you for your continued interest in University of Minnesota students and graduates.
Registration payments through credit cards and checks will be accepted. State agencies may pay by EFT.
All invoices must be paid by February 1, 2020, to secure your placement in the job fair.

Your organization must cancel by February 1, 2020, in order to receive a refund. There will be no refunds after that date. If the event cannot be held due to circumstances beyond our control, no refunds will be made. The event will not be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Unloading and Parking
Materials can only be dropped off on Friday, February 22 after 8:30 a.m. Employers are responsible for their own parking costs.
Lower level: Stop next to the marshalling guard station that is located off 16th Street. Inform the guard that you are dropping off materials for the job fair. You will receive a pass to unload your vehicle for thirty minutes. You will be entering the Convention Center in the back of Exhibit Hall A. After unloading, please park on one of the ramps near the Convention Center.
Street level: Courtesy staff/student workers will be available to help you unload your materials. Pull into the curved unloading access road that is off 2nd Avenue. Park next to the curb at the end of the access road. After unloading, please park in one of the ramps near the Convention Center.
Shipping & Exhibitor Manual
Fern has been selected as the official service contractor for the Minnesota Private Colleges’ Job and Internship Fair. Shipping information along with other drayage, ordering, material handling, and other exhibitor services information will be emailed by a Fern service member to the contact person on your registration. A block of rooms have been reserved at a group rate of $123 per room at the Hilton Minneapolis which is connected via skyway to the Convention Center.
